(More customer reviews)I had previously purchased another expandable shoe rack from a different store, and it was so flimsy it actually broke while putting it together (so I'm not really sure how it was to hold multiple pairs of shoes). This item though is sturdy, streamline and holds a lot of shoes. Though I'm using it at its full width, the fact that you can make it variable widths is nice as well. I would recommend this for anyone looking for an inexpensive, practical way to store shoes. The only drawback I would say is that some flats with smooth bottoms tend to slide forward off the rack; I put small pieces of felt on the front rung for texture and that worked fine.
