(More customer reviews)I bought two of these for my large collection of ties and I really like them. They are made of solid hardwood (oak or something like it) and are very sturdy and well made. They screw into the wall of your closet, or the back door of your closet. They hold 36 ties and while the pegs are close together, they are offset in two rows and so your ties are not a problem to see which is which even when the rack is fully loaded. I have tried a number of racks from the metal ones to the ones that mount on the hanger bar and this one is better made and easier to use than any of those. And at only $13.50 each you get an incredible bargain. At that price I hesitate to mention two tiny things that I would have liked to see different, one is of the two racks I bought one has a small one-quarter inch knot in the otherwise perfect wood backboard - hardly worth mentioning except that it is so nicely made in every other respect. It does not affect the strength or functionality - just a very tiny blemish in the appearance of an otherwise beautifully made solid wood rack. The second rack I bought is perfect in every way. The second is the polyurethane finish is well applied but it is very slightly rough and I wish it had been slightly buffed out at the factory. I spent 3 minutes with some steel wool and they are perfect now. I suppose the very slight roughness would be an aspect many people would like, though, in that it would help keep your ties from any accidental slipping, not that that is any problem with the buffed pegs. Overall I am exceptionally pleased and would highly recommend these tie racks over any other including ones that are far more expensive.
